Combustion Engineer

To undertake combustion engineering services to the clients of KCE FM Ltd, including, but not limited to, working with Gas boilers, burners, HVAC equipment and general building services equipment. You will also liaise with and advise technical and project supervisors on planned preventative maintenance requirements for the site. The role will include many aspects of general building services, fault finding and planned preventative and reactive maintenance within our Central London and Home Counties portfolios. Candidates must be suitably experienced, highly motivated and be proven team players who are looking to give client satisfaction and assist with the continued growth of a successful FM business.

Skills/Experience required:
Experienced Gas/Combustion Engineer with a good track record and over 5 years experience within the building services - Water Hygiene/Health & Safety an advantage - Good communication skills - Flexible in approach.

 

  • Possession of a valid UK driver's license.

  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety precautions necessary in the performance of the work assigned.

  • Holds valid F-Gas and Safe Handling accreditation and ideally has manufacturer training for VRV & VRF systems

  • Knowledge of operating principles of mechanical, plumbing and drainage systems (point of use water heaters, booster sets, pressure vessels, cistermisers, water bunnies, valves, calorifiers, showers, sump pumps, macerators

  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of buildings and building systems.

  • Skilled in adapting available tools and repairing parts to specific repair problems.

  • Skilled in interpreting and working from drawings, specifications and other technical data.

  • Skilled in the use of and care of tools used in maintenance and associated repair work.

  • Basic knowledge of water services risks and applicable ACoP’s.
